I've had many fillings and root canals performed by Dr. Sorkin over almost a decade as one of his patients. Some of those fillings have failed, leading to the need for root canal therapy, for a total of three. Two root canals were done very well - the crowns on those molars are rock solid and when using them they're indistinguishable from my natural teeth. A third, most recent root canal and crown has been very frustrating, with the tooth feeling very unstable, rocking back and forth, and highly sensitive even after 5 months. A filling he performed a few years ago on a second molar has recently failed, causing me a great deal of pain - it looks like another root canal will be needed. I had been very satisfied with Dr. Sorkin's work for years, but recently I've experienced a lot of problems with work that he's done - failed fillings and problematic crowns. I've begun to look for a new dentist to at least get a second opinion. Also, my visits feel rushed, as he seems reluctant to explain procedures or answer questions. It's likely due to the volume of patients in his office (an encouraging thing, if so many people are satisfied enough to come back, however), so I don't know if there's an easy solution to this.

About Hygienist: The hygienists in Dr. Sorkin's office are generally very knowledgeable, experienced, and I have always felt comfortable under their care. They've patiently answered questions I've had when the doctor seemed too busy to provide personal attention.
