My children have been going to Dr. VanDyke for some time now. I had not met him personally but wife had. I had no complaints on quality of service or and nor do I doubt his experience.
My MAJOR compaint is his attitude......
I had just gotten off a very bad day at work (i'm in construction) and I was excited to see my sons new smile. I drove directly to his office with my dirty clothes and probably a little stinky.
I had a granola bar and a bottle of water right from his bowl where he offers his clients a healthy snack. One thing I noticed in his office is that he pushes his political opinion via letters placed all over the office. When he came out to talk to us we went through the normal pleasantries, then he decided to make a comment that I am a bad example for my son!
I was eating the granola bar which I assume he thought was a candy bar and he judged me because I am approx 45lbs overweight.
Then on top of that, we thought we were going in for 3 cavities/fillings and scrapping of some scaling. He took it upon himself to do all his teeth and $300 in more work (not billable to the insurance) without asking.
Im done with that dentist, but its just my opinion
