I first saw Dr. Kaufman on an emergency basis when I had an absessed tooth. As a fearful patient who had most recently had a traumatic experience suddenly with my family dentist of many years, exhibiting itself as a lack of patience and an insensitivity for my low pain threshold, I was relieved to find Dr. Kaufman to be gentle, warm and sensitive. I really felt like he cared. He then referred me to an oral surgeon who was also excellent and also accepts Medicaid. Kaufman also accepts Medicaid which is my insurance. And I have heard that it is hard to find a good doctor who also accepts Medicaid. As I had some cracked and missing teeth, he promptly wrote to them and applied for an appliance for me. We received an acceptance within an unprecedented time-a month. I'm still going through the process of that work as I examine alternatives.. He has taken time to discuss these with me. My husband has been going to him for a while and had such a good experience that I thought I'd try him. My 93 year old father-in-law, who has good health coverage chooses to see him, too. Staff is very warm-office is modern & I like that there's a child's play area in the waiting room. I definitely recommend him to all!
