Avoid Dr. Mobilia – worst dentist ever and a crook!!!
Dr. Mobilia put in a crown for me in December 2012. From the start the crown did not fit well and caused daily pain and discomfort. I repeatedly went in for bite adjustments that did not help (over course of more than 6 months, 15+ appointments) and my crown fell out in May 2013. Dr. Mobilia re-set it, but took no x-rays (no x-rays were taken during the entire course of treatment). The re-setting of the crown did not help and I continued to experience daily pain and discomfort. I went back in (end of May/beg of June) again reporting the pain, and at that point he suggested an x-ray, but I told him I had just gotten pregnant – his response was not to take an x-ray in that situation and “avoid chewing anything on that side” and wait until I’m no longer pregnant!!! The tooth continued to hurt and I called my obgyn in early June to ask if an x-ray was safe; he said it was safe and I conveyed that to the dentist. Dr. Mobilia told me, however, that he will still not take an x-ray or undertake any treatment until the crown loosens up again or I am not pregnant (which would be another 8 months). I knew I could not continue to take the daily pain and discomfort for another 8 months
