I have been going to Dr. Mukai for 5 years now, having had 5 gum surgeries there. I cannot say enough about his great chair-side manners and the pleasant, caring staff. The staff ran the procedure through my insurance before I had it done and could tell me how little or how much they would pay.
The hygienists, assistants, front desk are all great-very personable.
Dr. Mukai spends as much time with a patient as I've ever seen and goes into depth to answer questions. He followed through, calling me after the first surgery, making sure I was doing okay and had no complications. He also goes to great lengths to make the procedures pain-free starting with the way he injects the painkillers. I was always offered a prescription for painkillers prior to the surgery so I'd have it when I left the office. Having the procedures done by him and working with his staff are the only good thing about having to go to a periodontist.
