I went to Dr. Sandow for two years. During that time he replaced several fillings on the left side of my mouth. He removed mercury fillings while I was pregnant without using dental dams to minimize my exposure to mercury. I swallowed a chunk of filling during one procedure. When I told him this, he denied that it was possible and stated that mercury wasn't an issue anyway. I left his practice after this experience.
A year later I went to a new practice. Routine x-rays showed that ALL the work Dr. Sandow performed had to be redone. One tooth that he filled required a root canal and crown because of the decay he left under the filling. Two other teeth also had to be crowned because of the poor job he did.
I cannot recommend Dr. Sandow to anyone. Patients need to trust their dentists, and Dr. Sandow betrayed that trust.
