I had just moved to Fairfield in 1990 from NY and had not hooked up with any medical personnel. I worked for Mercantile Stores on Seward Road. One Saturday night I was in excruciating pain from a tooth. Since I had no doctor I suffered for quite awhile, nothing I did helped. I came across and ad about Dr. Spletzer in a Valupak book of coupons I received in the mail. I called the number figuring I had nothing to lose. To my surprise he answered the phone. I explained what was happening with my tooth and that I needed a painkiller ASAP. At first he didn't believe me but after talking for quite awhile he came to the conclusion I was on the level and not just some druggie looking to score. He called in a scrip to a local pharmacy for some pain killers and told me to meet him in his office bright and early the next morning which was a Sunday and he would check it out. Well needless to say I was there bright and early and he was waiting for me in his office, as promised, in shorts and a polo shirt. He checked my tooth and I had an infection. He prescribed some antibiotics. When the infection cleared he said I needed a root canal. Well needless to say he became my dentist for the next 10 years till I moved back to NY. He took a chance
