I have mixed feelings. He is friendly, and pretty thorough in his explanations of the work needed. He pulled 2 of my wisdom teeth that were fully in, and it was way less traumatic than I expected. He also phoned me after hours to make sure I wasn't in too much pain. He made my two young children feel at ease for their first dental visits. So that's the good stuff.
The bad is that he did two crowns on my upper back molars. He was teaching a student how to do crowns and I guess I was one of the guinea pigs. He did the prep-work himself, and the student did the crown installation. In any case, he had the final inspection and say on the work, so I hold him responsible for the results. It is about 4 years since I had the crowns, and they have been nothing but trouble. The way they were cemented left a ridge at the seam where bacteria have been having a heyday. I could feel the seam, but didn't know that I shouldn't be able to, and he did check the work so he should have noticed the ridge. Long story short, at least one crown now needs to be replaced, after just 4 years. That's the only way to get at the cavities that are eating their way underneath, despite my diligent brushing/flossing. I get pay twice for the work now! :(
