I believe Dr. Hooper is capable of rendering good service. The problem I have with him is his inability to own up to his mistakes. In short, he said I had a "surface cavity" that I believe he drilled too deep causing my nerve to be exposed and begin dying over the next couple of weeks which lead me back into his office with tremendous pain. He initially said that it appeared that I had a cracked tooth, the very same tooth he filled and recommended to put a crown on which would hold it in place. I ended up right back in his office the next morning in severe pain, the temporary crown that I paid for did not work. He then informed me that my nerve was dying, and needed to perform root canal. My nerve was fine before he starting drilling! How does someone with a surface cavity end up with a root canal? I have never had a crown much less a root canal! He has taken no responsibility for this. This has deeply hurt me emotionally and phsychologically. I believe in my heart he did not mean to do this but doesnt want to take responsibility for it either. He informed me that this can happen when fillings become large yet in the beginning it was just a surface cavity and I was just 'unlucky'.
About Hygienist: I have no major complaints of his staff, but I greatly question Dr. Hooper's work ethics...
