I had work done in Jan of 2016. I paid my portion in cash and and the other half was submitted to insurance. In March I received a bill from the office saying I had a balance due. I called the insurance office and they said that the information provided from the dental office did not warrant the work that needed to be done and they needed a letter from the office stating why it needed to be done. Sounds simple enough. I called the office and they said they would send it out. Next month I get another bill. I call the office again and they said they had not sent it out and had no record of me calling. I ask again for it to be sent so they can be paid from insurance. This happens every single month. On Nov. 2016 I get another bill with a note saying they have not received a response from me. I call again. This time they say they will send the letter right away and inform me when they do so. Never happened. It is now Dec 2016 almost a year later and they has still not done what they said they would and are now threatening collections. The dentist may be ok in terms of work but I would literally go to any other dentist to avoid this kind of incompetence.
