I've been in constant pain ever since I went to this dentist 5 weeks ago for 2 crowns. I was quoted one price and charged another (they didn't tell me that crowns often need a "build up", which cost an additional $150 each). I was told to bring x-rays from my previous dentist, which I did, yet he took x-rays anyway. When I returned due to excruciating pain after the temp crowns were placed, he drilled on the ADJACENT TEETH to "improve the bite"! I asked him why and he said that if he drilled on the temp crown, he'd "hit the nerve chamber". The pain continued (I took pain-killers every 8 hours for 3 weeks!) and when I returned for my permanent crowns, he removed one of the temps and said, "No wonder you're in so much pain; you chewed a hole right through the temp". Yep, there was a hole 1/16" in diameter in the temp crown! (But I think it was there from day one, because as the assistant was prepping the temp crown, she showed me an "air bubble", which she then proceeded to try to "drill out"). While this quack was putting in the permanent crowns, I was off the seat in pain. I was there for almost 2 hrs. for 2 perm. crown placements. The perm. crowns have been in for a week and I'm still in constant pain. ($1700 later!)
