I am switching dentists. I've been coming here since I was 16 and was relatively satisfied. Recently I needed fillings after a well checkup. X-Rays and dental issues were not discussed with me, I was expected to just set up an appointment for whatever work they wanted to do without any discussion of cost, issues etc. I felt more like a farm animal expected to do what I was told rather than a patient who is treated with respect by having a Dr actually discuss issues/plans with me. While I may have not had much say as a 16 year old with a Dad that paid the bills, I am now a 25 year old who makes my own decisions and pays those dental bills. After getting my fillings done, my teeth still hurt. 3 months later I decided it was a issue I couldn't avoid anymore, so I got another appt. They took another x-ray, and Dr. Archer came in and looked at my teeth. I was told the fillings were fine, but that I was grinding, that I had teeth of a 50-60 year old, I need a night guard. I've been coming to all my well check-ups for the past 10 years, with Dr. Archer always taking a look at my teeth. This is the first mention of the need of a night guard, now that my teeth are ruined and causing me pain. Thanks for the preventive care.
About Hygienist: I used to have Brandy as my dental hygienist, she was great, but she has moved to another dentist for better pay.
