He is a good surgeon but a terrible doctor. He and his nurses lack bedside manner. He did not treat me respectfully before or after the surgery, but looked down on me and treated me like an idiot child.
If you are at all nervous, do not go to him. I had 4 wisdom teeth removed under deep sedation, and my boyfriend in the waiting room could hear me screaming the whole time; the barbs he gave me made sure I forgot the whole thing, but it hurt as soon as I 'woke up' from sedation, so I think he didn't give me enough local anesthesia or Valium/Ketamine during the procedure. (The first thing I remember is the nurse saying "You were screaming the whole time." To which I would have replied, if I could, then why didn't you give me more anesthesia?)
He also refused to give me stitches on two of the extraction sites as I asked, with the result that the sutured sides (of course) healed in half the time of the other two, even though they had required more surgery. He was not sympathetic to the excessive pain I felt after, and I had to go to my GP for meds.
Overall, I would say he is a skilled and competent surgeon, but not a compassionate doctor or someone I would ever want to pay $2000 again. For me, it was a terrible experience.
