My wife and I have seen Dr. Cochran for filling/cleaning for 6 yrs, during which, he and his staff performed OK. However, when I ran into a serious problem with one of my wisdom teeth, Dr. Cochran assumed the nerve under the tooth was dead and proceeded to grind down the tooth to minimize downward pressure on my bad tooth while chewing. However, it turned out that the nerve was NOT dead!! Therefore, he aggravated my pain to extreme levels and exposed the nerve to heat and cold by grinding down the tooth which sent me home screaming from the nerve pain! When I called him the next day for help, he said there was nothing further he could do for me and advised me to get the tooth extracted. However, the same day, I went to another dentist who took the time to clean the tooth from inflammation, inserted medication in the cavity; both procedures have immediately stopped the pain which was amazing. My new dentist promised me time without pain for 30-60 days which has proved to be true. The new dentist also recommended that I would get the tooth evaluated for root canal (to save the tooth) instead of having it extracted. Following this incident, my wife and I switched from Dr. Cochran to my new dentist.
