I picked an in network dentist close to my home expecting that all licensed doctors would do a realatively good job when performing their procedures. I ended up needing a root canal. Dr. Bower said that he could do the work and their was no need to go to a specialized endodontist. It cost me $400.00 after my insurance pitched in. About a month and 1/2 later I had severe pain and a very swollen face. Thinking back to when I got the work done I thought his instruments looked dated and the facility was unclean so I went to a different dentist. The new dentist was veryalarmed and thought their could be a possible bone infection. He also x-rayed my tooth and noticed that their were 5 canals and only 1 had been cleared! He became very angry and commented that "he hopes he is not doing this to any other patients". He then referred me to a specialist who did the work. Unfortunatly, I no longer have dental insurance and was forced to pay $1800 out of pocket. I went back to the dentist (who botched the job in the first place) for a refund of my $400.00 and they explained that I had signed a waiver so they would not refund my $400.00.
