I don't trust Dr. Wasko. I went to her some years ago for a checkup; she sent me to a periodontist, which resulted in a terrifying round of surgery for which I wasn't properly anesthetized. But I digress.
Dr. Wasko informed me prior to my gum surgery that a partial bridge I have had to be replaced. It cost me $375 out of my own pocket to have this bridge made; it was to be placed after my periodontal surgery.
Unfortunately, after the surgery, I went back to Dr. Wasko's office and had a panic attack right there in the chair. She refused to treat me, then and in the future, suggesting I instead use a dentist who offers nitrous oxide. Frankly, it was a good suggestion, which I followed up on.
The new dentist looked in my mouth, looked at the existing bridgework, and said "does this bridge bother you in some way? Does it hurt?" The bridge had never bothered me, and I said as much. He then said, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I see no reason to replace your bridgework."
So, in my living room closet, I have a $375 monument to Dr. Wasko's greed and my own stupidity.
