This was my 1st use of my Aetna insurance for dental work. On my check-in, I was told that my insurance does not cover dental work. I protested that, although I was new to Aetna, this form of insurance had always provided at least some dental coverage...but she was adamant that it provided none, so I let my appointment proceed: cleaning, x-rays & examination.
When I got home, I called Aetna and learned that these procedures are covered with an $11 copay...not the $242 that I was charged...only Dr. Voss does not accept Aetna Insurance. Had the individual been honest with me, I would have left and sought dental services from a dentist that accepts Aetna insurance.
As far as I'm concerned, this behavior constitutes gross malfeasance and fraud. Needless to say, I feel that I was bilked out of $231 by this dental office.
