I have no issues with the dentistry he has performed but his billing practices and the way his office manager deals with insurance is less than patient friendly.
I have both BCBS and MetLife and his office refuses to bill MetLife for the dental sewrvices they provide. They are a prefered provider of both metlife and BCBS and are also refusing to give the MetLife discounts even though they are a prefered provider. My BCBS health care plan only recently added the benefit of a yearly exam and a cleaning to the health care benefit. Dr Crockarells office is now charging me cash price for services and refusing to bill both the primary and secondary for services, forcing me to pay and then be reinbursed.
I have spoken with my fellow employees and their dentist are not acting in this manner and are billing the secondary as well as honoring the agreed upon PPO discounts.
Dr Crockarell is taking advantage of this situation to take me for more money. I will be leaving his practice and because of this situation would not refer anyone I know to his office.
