For years I drove by Dr. Merchant's sign on Oracle Road. Finally, being dissatisfied with big chain dentistry, I decided to make a visit. My situation was more serious than I realized. I was at Dr. Merchant's office for a second opinion because the big chain dentists had diagnosed me with an erupted tooth. The big chain dentists wanted me on antibiotics for three weeks while I waited to see their endodontic. Dr. Merchant got me a next day appointment with Southern Arizona Endodontics where they agreed my situation was serious. Because the tooth couldn't be saved they got me a same day appointment with Casas Adobes Oral Surgery where the tooth was pulled. I was then on antibiotics for just one week. It's important to mention these other dental groups because it means Dr. Merchant is connected to the local dental community. This is a good sign. Her waiting room is quiet and peaceful. The staff is friendly and not stressed with too much work. The personal service made me feel like my comfort mattered to them. I also had an old filling in a front tooth that had become discolored. She did a really good job replacing this. Dr. Merchant is a superior dentist. I am grateful for her help.
