I have seen Dr. Romero twice. In both visits the hygienist was great and the staff was very friendly. Dr. Romero however did not leave as good an impression. He is very nice, and did an adequate (though not great) job checking my mouth the first visit. However, during the second visit (6 months later) he spent at most 45 seconds looking at my teeth. I would not expect an extensive checkup during a mid-year (primarily cleaning) visit, but cannot help but feel that because I was his last patient of the day he rushed the exam. This feeling was supported by the fact that I found a cavity in my mouth less than a month later.
During my first visit to Dr. Romero, there was a problem with the x-ray machine and the x-rays of my teeth were not useful (they took two sets and neither were good). When leaving I was amazed by the fact that the decided to go ahead and charge my insurance for the x-rays even though they were useless. Since my insurance is a prepay dental insurance, this meant that I was not eligible for new x-rays for an entire year. I expected him to attempt to redo the x-rays for free during the second visit, but no such offer was made.
After two visits my wife and I are l going to look for a new dentist
About Hygienist: During both visits the Hygienist was great ... she spent at least 30 minutes cleaning my teeth and I was quite pleased with the results.
