As a doctor, I am very disheartened that I am forced to defend my practice via websites that allow anonymous postings by patients or others who may have an axe to grind. In our practice, we try very hard to ensure good communication. We spend a great deal of time with our patients in order to accurately diagnose their conditions and come to an agreed upon plan of therapy. I do all the procedures in our office myself in order to maintain the highest quality of service possible. We utilize well thought out information forms to ensure that every patient understands their diagnosis, prognosis, and estimated time of treatment in our office. We also clearly spell out our office policies so that there is never a suprise when for example, a patient does not show up for an appointment. If I do run late and inconvienience another patient, we offer a free appointment to help make up for their time spent waiting. We never double book appointmment times so that each individual is ensured 100% of my focus and time.
If a patient elects to discontinue care against sound medical advice, I regretfully can not help them.
I sincerely wish people would return to face to face communication.
