I went to Doctor Lide last year for replacement of crown of my front tooth. I read good reviews, when I met him he seemed like a knowledgeable person.
My first crown on the same tooth was placed when I was 13/14 years old. I never had any problem with that. But since the first crown was 15/16 years old, the metal root started to show thru my gum.
I discussed with Doctor Lide, and he suggested replacement of crown is very common and would last another 5/6 years. After the procedure the crown looked fantastic, it looked like a real tooth. Then within few weeks my gum got swollen, and started bleeding. I followed up with him, he said he left some cement between the crown and the gum. He cleaned up the cement. It was good for a month or so, then again my gum around that crown started bleeding. I followed up again. Same thing... extra cement. After that I went followed up 2 more times for same reason. 4 follow ups for same reason.....extra cement.
The same problem appeared again for 5th time, I'm not going back to him again.
I'm not a dentist, but I assume this is BAD dentistry. He is very good at explaining procedure, he seems to be very caring..... but I guess he is not good at placing crown.
I spent $600-$700, on this procedur
