She may be a very talented dentist in the area of cosmetic dentistry, but after repeated visits for myself and my 2 kids (13 & 14), we'd spent literally a small fortune just getting our teeth cleaned ('special' cleaning).
Payment is absolutely UPFRONT, and the office folks started becoming somewhat irritated when I asked for copies of all our 'bills'.
I work in the medical billing field, and when I started looking at them, I realized she was billing US for drugs that should be packaged into the procedure. I contacted our dental insurance company, sent them a packet of all our bills, and what we'd paid, and they ended up refunding us over $400 that she FRAUDULENTLY billed us. I wonder how many other people that aren't aware of what is separately billable, are getting nailed for these expenses?? Feeling I got from our insur was that this type of problem has occured before. Almost forgot - she had to call 911 during one of my visits when I became toxic from the multiple epinephrine she kept giving me so she could hurry to do my fillings. I was transported to the ED and held until I was stablized, nearly 4 hours.
