Dr. Kunaish started off as a good dentist, but I believe she started to take me for granted as a regular patient. When I first started seeing her, she gave me a diagnosis for intermediate periodontal disease due to measurements she had made of excessively large gaps between my gums and individual teeth. Based on this finding, I agreed to have Dr. K do a scaling and root planing procedure to reduce the gap sizes. However, after this procedure, the gap measurements were only taken 3 times (the first measurements a couple of weeks after the procedure only showed mild improvement and the 2nd & 3rd measurements were taken at my insistence rather than the doctor's initiative, with the 3rd reading done in a very mediocre way without the results written down by an attending assistant. Recently, I saw a periodontist for an initial consultation. He explained that a panoramic x-ray he took indicated bone loss had occurred. Prior to her S & R procedure, Dr. K had said that no bone loss had yet occurred.
