I had a very negative experience with this dentist. I went for a routine visit, came out w/ multiple fillings and a crown dx. That on itself would not be a problem, but each time I returned for a filling, there seemed to be additional items added to the tally. When I asked why additional procedures were being added to the original Dx, Dr. Shea said that "he took another look at the X-rays" after my first visit. Since I had called a week after my first visit to confirm the procedures, this seemed unlikely. Tried to justify by illustrating on the camera what the problem was, as if I, a patient, know a good X-ray or tooth from bad one. I finally got a second opinion who saw no problem with the teeth Dr. Shea said required fillings. Further, the second dentist said that in no way would I need a crown at this point. The "cracks" Shea saw as justifying a crown were, according to the second dentist, "perfectly normal," something everyone has.
