I've had a very difficult background with dentists, and not all dentists are going to appear "good" to all people.
To start off with these are the qualities I like in a dentist:
Has a good steady hand that "feels reliable"
Listens to the patient
Explains procedures and risks to the patient
Has a fun friendly attitude
Understands sarcasm and joking
In all of these areas Dzon Nguyen and his office staff gets 10/10 from me.
Procedures he has done for me: Cerec crown and buildup, root canal, resin fillings.
Now some specifics:
I hate the mental idea of the big needle in my mouth during shots. He does the shots slow and easy so it doesn't burn. I requested he do it faster to get the needle out of my mouth, and he did without argument.
My crown by him was on a broken tooth, and he cut away the top and said that we wouldn't need a root canal. I wasn't sure and he said there were risks, but we could do a root canal later through the cerec crown. Eventually I needed that root canal and he was apologetic, but I feel I made a well-informed choice on it.
He's not the cheapest dentist (Tho it's hard for me to tell), but in my book he's the best.

About Hygienist: Pretty good, i've only had one other scaling so it's hard to comment but I was not unhappy with it.
