I have no dental insurance, so after receiving a temporary filling I asked for the total due before leaving (same day payment). The receptionist charged me for services I had not received, or requested (i.e. an "emergency" fee of $72). As I questioned the reason for that fee, the receptionist went back to check with the doctor's assistant. She returned saying that "it is OK", they will "waive the fee this time", as if that was a personal favor. They still charged me $158 for a temporary filling. I should make it clear that I had not requested an "emergency" visit, and I was not in pain, I had no sensitivity to cold or warm, or any discomfort - only a broken corner of a tooth (molar) that has a large filling in the middle. The temporary filling covers the exposed corner. Need a good dentist? Try someone else.
