Friendly and does good work, but....is it all needed? The work on my gums was necessary and a good job done. Much appreciated. Crowns were another story.
Dr. Shupack replaced a "failed" gold crown with porcelain. The porcelain cracked and broke within the year and he replaced at no cost. I was told I needed two or three crowns immediately and up to three or four more within the next couple of years. I switched dentists because I got tired of the high pressure sales approach by his staff to have the work done, which I could not afford and was not convinced was needed.
Within another two years, the porcelain crown Dr. Shupack replaced failed again and needed replaced. Despite the dire warnings that I needed many new crowns, I have not needed any new crowns in the four years that I moved on to another dentist.
High pressure marketing of services. They will try to milk every insurance dollar you have each year.
About Hygienist: Hygienists were great and really got my gums back into shape.
