We originally established with her at another practice in the area & were so happy to follow her to her new practice all her own; Island Family Dental.
Dr. Newkirk has a wonderful chair side manner & is *very* calming. I feel she makes the perfect pediatric dentist. Both myself & my daughter have had fillings with her, daughter most recently getting one done earlier this wk. Dr. Newkirk has a wonderful trick of distracting adult & pediatric patients while she delivers Novocain before the procedure, eliminating anxiety issues my daughter has around needles. She takes the time to explain until we really understand.
Her new office has a very bright & cheery feel. Her chairs offer massages & there are monitors for movie viewing while they work their magic. The staff she has is very attentive & welcoming, & her pricing is very decent. The hygiene of the Dr & staff is top notch. I witnessed several hand cleansings & changing gloves with *each* entrance into the treatment room. Her office also offers CareCredit options for bigger bills as well.
Dr. Newkirk also does f/u calls to be sure the work done was taken well without any complications. :o)
