The fatigue began a year ago. I had to physically push myself to perform every task. My primary physician said I should exercise and diet when I told her of my exhaustion. It wasn't until October of 2011 that everything came to light. During a routine cleaning and examination, my dentist, Dr. Glenn Gequillana, discovered a nodule on my thyroid. He said, “I don't want to alarm you, but I want you to follow up on this with your primary physician".
During the next 2 months I had an ultrasound, blood tests and biopsy. On the afternoon of January 27, 2012 I received a call from my surgeon which confirmed my worse fear. He told me I had thyroid cancer. I was shocked because there has never been any cancer victims throughout the generations of my family. I had surgery in February 2012 and two weeks later was informed that I was cancer free. I did not need chemo or radioactive iodine. I thank God for Dr. G. because of him finding the nodule, I was able to catch the disease early. Dr. G. really and truly cares about his patients and because of this God has anointed his hands, I believe, to perform miracles. I would definitely recommend Dr. G.
