I had a root canal begun on Jan.26. It was not completed due to the Dr's concern that there might be further root channels and he decided to wait and see if his intervention solved my pain. The next evening I began to experience pain and it became agonizing by Saturday night. I called the emergency number I had been given. It rolled over to his regular office line which provided a message saying to call the emergency number. This went on all day Sunday. At 9:20 a. m. Mon. Jan. 30, I called his office and was told they got the messages and I should leave a pharmacy number so a prescription for pain medication could be called in. No attempt was made to explain why the emergency number didn't work, ask what the pain was like or give me an appointment. I finally was told the emergency line didn't work, it wasn't their fault and I could come to the office at 11 a.m. This is completely unacceptable.
