The thing that impressed me the most was that in the waiting room was a binder with probably 100+letters to Dr. Baird thanking him for his treatment of them. They were glowing letters that made mention of him doing things like giving them a teddy bear to their child when he was done and things like that. It was enough to put me at ease - knowing I was in the hands of a "kind" oral surgeon.
My experience was very short - I just had one non-problematic tooth extraction. I asked him - right before he gave me my shot - how long it would take, and he said 20 minutes - from the time he gave me teh shot til when we'd be all done. I was impressed.. I looked at the clock and figured... Ok, I'll be done in a half hour. I can handle that. Turns out he was exactly right - I wasn't done in half an hour, it was exactly 20 minutes later that his assistant was going over how to care for my mouth. Very cool.
