Avoid this office at all costs!
While his associate Dr. Gittelman was perfectly fine in extracting 4 wisdom teeth, the follow-up visit was rushed, I was not given a chance to ask any questions, and I was rushed out so they could see the next patient.
Oh, did I mention I got dry sockets? I did. And was told so in my follow up.
I am then in excruciating pain the rest of the night, as the pain medicine (Tylenol 3) was not doing anything for me. And although I've explained a history of ulcers, the doctor just said to take more Advil...about the worst thing you can do for an ulcer.
I called the 24-hour on-call doctor, Dr. Merlo, and it was the worst treatment I've ever had from anyone in my life. I was yelled at for calling, accused of being an addict (because, of course, an addict would have 5 teeth extracted to score 20 mild painkillers), was told go to the ER, and wasn't even allowed to finish a sentence. The doctor is supposed to treat the patient in front of them; I just got yelled at instead. Honestly, I have never, ever, ever been spoken to so poorly. If this man doesn't want to be on call, or doesn't want to be a dentist, or doesn't want to talk to patients, he should find something else to do.
