Regarding pain, stress and anxiet:y: Short of some preliminary drug prior to sedation, I'm not sure there is any product to relieve my stress! I can't state factually because I don't remember for certain, but it seems I am administered nitrious oxide prior to dozing off. Anything that reduces my fear is welcome. The office is unusually tolerant...I arrive with blinders, an i-pod and a headphone; and I ask the medical team to turn off the lights so I can zone out to the best of my ability. Strange? Yes. Are they judgemental? No. Additionally, Dr. Johnson is left handed and my best vein is on my right. He makes it work!! He is calming, reassuring and compassionate. I am a dental phobic and will allow no other oral surgeon near me. He's done several extractions with minimum residual discomfort. I can't stress his compassionate, calming, reassuring, and unparalled professional expertise enough. Never leave town Dr. Johnson!
