My wife needed her wisdom tooth taken out so our dentist referred us to several oral surgeons. My wife knew that it would be painful so she wanted to be put to sleep and Dr. Gelfman and the dental assistant were aware of that fact. Before he started he asked me to leave the room which I regret very much. I waited in the waiting room for about 10 mins when the dental assistant came and got me and took me to my crying wife who was clearly in a lot of pain. The doctor informed me that the reason why she was in pain was because she was sensitive to pain so he gave her something to numb. My wife cried all the way home and into the night because as she told me she felt everything that he did. When I called to inquire as to why they did not wait for her to be fully asleep he stated that it was because of her "low blood pressure" and that he did not want her to be under for too long. That just sounds like an excuse to me. Now what type of person tries to pull someone's tooth out without giving them something or not waiting for them to fall asleep? Seeing my wife crying all he could tell her was to stop crying because she has "low blood pressure". I would love to put Dr. Gelfman in a chair and do to him what he did to my wife.
