I had Jaw surgery to correct an under bite when I was 24 (13 years ago). After 1 1/2 years of braces he does the surgery...doesn't move the jaw back far enough, top teeth gnashing against bottom teeth, orthodontist has to remove retainer, teeth move all over the place and look worse than they did prior to braces. Jaw is still noticablly long and crooked to one side. Would not recommend for this type of proceedure.
