The dental implant procedure took approximately 9 months. I needed bone grafting to build up my jaw and that adds about 4 months since the graft must be well healed before the implants can be inserted. I had general anesthesia for the grafting and implant insertion and I was totally unaware. I had little pain after these procedures but Dr. Bozentka did prescribe pain medication if I needed it.
The hygienists and office staff are great. Everyone is very professional. Dr. Bozentka is a nice guy as well as an excellent oral surgeon.
Dental insurance pays nothing for implants so be prepared to pay for everything including the final crowns which are cemented onto the implants. For two implants the total cost was $6000 including bone grafting. It's worth every penny. I feel like I've grown back my own teeth.
