I was attacked by our family dog and the wounds were all facial. One went almost all the way through my top lip, and I had about 3 more on my chin. I didn't know Dr Dugan at all until the ER brought him in as my facial plastic surgeon, I didn't even know he was a dentist at all! I had to had anethesia and undergo surgery to debride and stitch up my wounds. Dr Dugan came to visit me the morning after my late night entry to the ER. He was very kind, and explained exactly what he had to do. I was scared to death mainly because 1. I don't like anethesia at all, and 2. I was scared of the amount of scarring that would occur after the healing process. He put my fears to rest, telling me how they stitch from the inside out to ensure minimal scarring as much as possible. I still have a few days before the stitches come out, but I was highly impressed by his bedside manner, personality, professionalism, and thorough explanation of details both before and after the surgery.
