Dr. LaBriola first performed oral surgery in my tooth, but later had to pull it and did an implant when he found the root was cracked. He did fabulous work. I had little bone --such that my dentist was not sure it could be done. Instead of a bone build-up, he pushed the bone scraps up (or something like that) as he drilled, thereby creating the bone he needed for the implant. A much easier procedure from the patient's perspective, but I gather it is unusual. There were later problems with the work done at the dentist's office and lab, and Dr. LaBriola was very patient at helping out. In the end I got a rock-solid implant that other dentists have praised. I had little or no pain. Cost was moderate for the implant, which was not covered by insurance. Other work he did was partially covered by insurance (Kaiser) and quite cheap, I thought. Great manner with patients, provides good explanations.
