My 22-year old daughter saw Dr. Schiff for problems with her jaw (TMJ?) He took X-Rays and gave her advise as to potential options. That was all fine.
HOWEVER, Dr. Schiff's office then submitted the paperwork erroneously to my insurance company. Twice. The claim was denied and Dr. Schiff's office threatened legal action if we didn't pay the bill out of our pocket.
Unfortunately, we've reached an era where insurance companies make it hard for medical providers to get paid and medical providers are quick to refer unpaid amounts to collection agencies (which is terribly damaging to credit.) I am not a huge fan of universal healthcare, but am starting to wonder...
