I have had my tori removed just two and a half weeks ago. The entire procedure, from general anesthesia, to numbing, to removal of a relatively large tori on the roof of my mouth took around 1.5 hours. I didn't have much pain and I took two pain killers only on the first day and the second one wasn't even necessary but I took it anyway. I prepared one big pot of vegetable soup and one pot of porridge and thought that they would last for one week before I can take solid food. On the third day, I was able to eat solid food and my soup was just a side dish. The mouth shield he made was very effective and helped the healing process much faster besides protecting the wound. I am very pleased with Dr. Tidwell, he truly is a wonderful surgeon, very patient, caring and is absolutely a great oral surgeon without an attitude. The people in his office are also very pleasant and helpful. I always joke about that I can now take a bigger bite of food with my small mouth.
Doctor Tidwell, thanks so much and you are the best. Connie
