Completely insensitive, impersonal & rude. All I asked was if they had an alternative for this one "cuff" or "link" they put on back teeth because it caused me extreme discomfort, & also asked if they could expedite their process on my bottom teeth. The technician walked away & went & whispered to the other & started laughing & no one talked to me for 20+ mins. Then Lloyd came over & basically went off on me in front of all their staff & other patients. Saying that he had been doing this for 40 years, called me ignorant, telling me I need to 'get a clue', "I don't care what type of braces your friends have, THIS IS THE WAY I DO IT. I'M IN CHARGE OF YOUR TREATMENT PLAN, THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE", when all I asked was if they had an alternative for one piece. I left the office in tears. Previously when I have been in there the technicians have been extremely rude and making fun of me & mocking me when I express I am in pain, or refusing to let me go brush my teeth when they take my wires off, and y'all with braces knows how good it feels to finally brush without wires. And when they actually have worked on my teeth, the lady would get up & I'd be sitting there choking on my spit & the lady refused to auction or let me get up.

My daughter had successful orthodontic work done by Dr. Swiedom. What precludes me from ever going back to this orthodontist is the lack of professional support staff. Rude beyond imagination.
About Front Desk: The front desk staff, specifically Dr. Swiedom's wife, hung up on me and stated I was wasting her time by asking questions about my daughter's retainer. This was done after the staff also hung up on my daughter. I will never go back to a business where this type of behavior is condoned and tolerated.

9 year daughter had braces with dr. pain (lloyd swiedom). Started suffering when the tightening increased, and would cry as soon she got outside the office. I told her to let them know she was being hurt, so she started grunting when she felt discomfort. The doctor's response: "Stop that. You have been coming here long enough to not do that." Ass! She was 10 years old. Most of the staff was unfriendly. The best part was the receptionist, but what did that count when they were stabbing my daughter's mouth with wire. I know of a high schooler that went that said it was very difficult. I know of another who's gums were damaged. In high school, we opted to go further out to dr. waddell in bellaire. so worth it. I found out what a great orthodontist office is suppose to be. My daughter never said I don't want to go. I even had my teeth straightened.

Was very rude and abrasive with my young child. no reason for him to treat people this badly.

He is impersonable, aloof, does not know what he's doing. We were very unhappy with his service, including the outrageous cost. There was always long waiting.

My son and daughter see Dr. Swiedom. Everyone at the office is very helpful and nice. The costs for treatment is about $4500 per child (about 30 months of treatment).

Dr. Swiedom has done both of my son's braces-he is awesome!! My husband is a General Dentist and he thinks Dr. Swiedom is by far the best.
