Go somewhere else. He is a very smart, deceptive man. Went in for a cleaning and consultation - ended up getting manipulated into getting many fill-ins. Luckily, I decided to only get half the work he was recommended done. He only took a few pictures and rushed through the treatment plan before having me sign off on it. Not only did he recommend that I get 8 fill-ins but he up sold me on toothpaste and rinse that I didn't need. By not needing I mean that I had two other opinions after my visit with Daniel Kang that both said the cleaning was awful and the fill-ins were not necessary. The product I was given was not even needed in my case because I had no issues with cavities - only tartar. I cannot stress enough that you go somewhere else or at least getting a second opinion first. I paid dearly with not only unnecessary work, but a large bill as well.

About Front Desk: Was polite when I got in but would not even look me in the eye once the procedure was done and she was ringing me up. It was as if she knew I was getting ripped off. Definitely the first time something like that has happened to me and was really a defining moment that made me get a second opinion.

Front desk:

Hygiene rating:

About Hygienist: Very smart but extremely manipulative. Take what he says from an objective standpoint or at least wait a few days to make your decision

Hygiene time: 120

Bottom line: Dr. Kang tries to scare you into getting unnecessary work done. My sister got a deep cleaning with him because he told her that her gums were unhealthy and she might eventually lose her teeth. When I visited him and heard the same speech (gory gum disease pictures and all), I sensed that he wasn't being honest with me. He also told me I needed more than 15 cavities filled. (Cost= nearly $8000) I'm 21, and have always taken care to brush, floss, rinse consistently. A deep cleaning for someone of my age/hygiene profile is RARE. I felt lied-to as I walked out of his office, so I got a second opinion from a different dentist. ONE CAVITY needed filling and deep cleaning was completely unnecessary. Needless to say, I have switched dentists. As for my sister, she is now being charged $400 more because insurance won't cover the deep cleaning, claiming that there isn't sufficient evidence that it was necessary. Imagine that.

About Hygienist: Hygienist was very nice.

I have gone to this office for a while now and i'm extremely pleased with my veneers. Dr Kang does both cosmetic and general work so it relaxed me to know that i could get cleanings and other work done all in the same place. i was extremely scared in doing any work on my teeth but the office was able to ease me into the work. great bed side manners. only wished my insurance paid for veneers but well-worth it especially since i travel for work. i would recommend this office for those looking for a dentit
