Was told I had several cavities-went to another dentist and my suspicion was confirmed that I had no cavities. Incompetent dentist-my recommendation-run away!!!

Growing up, my dentist was a family friend. He passed a few years ago, and I was shocked by how hard it was to find a good dentist! I went to 3 before I found Dr. Mary. I had old fillings that were pulling away and needed to be replaced and I needed a crown. Before we started, she told me exactly how much it would all cost and worked with me to spread payment out over several months. I was telling her how hard it was to find her and that my mom needed work done on basically every tooth in her mouth but couldn't afford it with her Social Security. She told me to have her come in and she'd see what she'd do. Dr. Mary made it financially possible for my mom to get all the work she needed done. My mom cried when she showed me the cost projection. I cannot imagine she made any profit at all for the services she provided. She didn't do it for the money; she did it to help a woman in pain. I would never have imagined a doctor would be so caring and selfless as to help an older woman on a fixed income with her teeth. It's clear Dr. Mary is in it to help people. I have great insurance, so I can go to any dentist I choose. I'm very happy with the work Dr. Mary has done for me, and I'm touched and grateful for her work for my mom.

About Front Desk: When Dr. Mary moved offices, I got terribly lost and the poor girl spent 15 minutes on the phone with me, guiding me in turn-by-turn!

Mary Smith found out I had double insurance and "suddenly" had a list of things I needed work right away. Printed a contract without any specifics on what they meant. Could NOT fix a route canal, but did not tell me until she had me numbed up and tried for TWO hours. Then, I had to go back to her partner next day for another shot. "He'll know what he's doing," she said. Also, clipped a nerve, causing intense pain and reason for root canal to begin with. All-in-all, she maxed out my double insurance and then expected me to pay difference of another $1200. I did not pay! Will never go back again!

5 y/o boy with an infection of gums, Mary Smith said it was a cavity gone into the pulp, now she had to pull the tooth so I asked if he needed an antibiotic and she said "no, once she removed the tooth it would be fine but maybe she'd put him on something just as a preventative," then they proceeded to try to pull the tooth, started by giving him a shot to "make the tooth fall asleep" which did NOT numb it, then they gave him a another shot, and then they gave him a third shot and he could still feel it and he was crying and hysterical took 3 hours! He was hysterical and she left the room and said she wouldn't do itDid not give me any follow up care or referral info! So I went to a pediatric dentist the next day who said it is NOT standard practice to do what Mary Smith did and you can't numb an abcessed tooth and you MUST clear the infection up before even touching the tooth-especially in a child. Could be very dangerous! They did not code the procedure correctly according to my dental insurance but they made me pre-pay over $300 for the "extraction and space maintainer" they didn't even pre-cert for or end up doing! What they pre-certed for was a mouth guard and nitrous oxide which they didn't use and isn't covered anyway.

About Hygienist: She said to my son, "do you want Mommy to stay in the room?" He said "yes!" and she said "well, you need to get in that chair or else I'm gonna make your Mommy leave!" (when he wouldn't get in the chair) Said their x ray was down so had to do a panoramic. $$$ They need investigation, I don't know why they would do this to a 5 year old child, it was like torture, now I've been told that the pH changes around the tooth with the abcess it won't get numb-by the ped. dentist and even the insurance customer service agent told me that-so how is it that Mary Smith doesn't know that or that pulling a tooth with the infection can be very dangerous, and she wasn't even going to give him an antibiotic at all!
