I was referred to Dr. Palmieri by my caring general dentist, Dr. Sisel, the morning after I had a bicycle accident where I broke both of my two front teeth. Dr. Palmieri and his staff, especially Myra, the receptionist at the Falls Church location, were extremely caring towards me and sensitive to the fact that I had been traumatized by the accident. They scheduled me for two root canals that same day. There was no pressure to do more work than was needed on the right tooth but it was highly recommended that I consider getting a root canal on the other tooth since I planned on getting crowns on both teeth. This was advised in order to eliminate the possibility of needing another root canal in the future due to the breaks in the left tooth. Dr. Palmieri spoke with my general dentist about what he thought before coming back to me with his opinions. The procedures were painless and quick. He gave me a prescription for pain and even called me later in the evening to make sure I was okay. His staff spoke several times with concerned family members that had called the office during the surgery. Since I didn't have Dental insurance, they were very accommodating and worked with my family on the expenses. Highly recommended!!!!

Dr. Palmieri was wonderful about relieving my anxiety because I was so scared to have a root canal, (my first one!) I didn't feel a thing, just like he said, and I would go back to him in a heartbeat if I needed to. He is a wonderful doctor with a wonderful bedside manner and he's from the burgh!

My second root canal but different dentist. Dr. Palmieri was brilliant. Fast, painless less than an hour. The facilities in Old Town have a view of King Street that keeps your mind occupied. He even provided sunglasses to protect the eyes from the overhead light. Great experience!!

After only seeing Dr. Palmieri one time, he called me back to check on my root canal and called me back on a holiday weekend to re-prescribe a medication. This I found as amazing as the professional and pain free service I received with the root canal. The office staff and dental assistants were most courteous and very, very helpful and professional. I would strongly recommend Dr. Palmieri to everyone who needs Endo treatment.

I have complex dental problems, and will need root canals on most of my teeth. And, as is the case with most people, I have tremendous anxiety about visiting a dentist or oral surgeon. After having two visits with a competent dentist for my first root canal procedure and because this dentist was unable to retrieve the entire root, I was referred to Dr. Palmieri. My root canals have been completely pain free, and have been both efficient and smooth procedures. Unfortunately, given my diagnosis, I will need more root-canal procedures, but I feel blessed to have been referred to Dr. Palmieri. Though I now live three hours from Alexandria, I will continue to schedule my appointments at his King Street office. I highly recommend Dr. Palmieri.

Fabulous doctor! He did my daughter's emergency root canal after cancelling his own dentist appointment to make room for her. She said it hurt less than many of her regular dental visits. Seems like a very smart, talented guy.

I went to him after continuous pain in the RC treated tooth by another endo.He explained and advised to wait for a while(which only a genuine doc will do) After my first visit ,subsequent visits were free.Overall a good experience.

My root canal done by Dr. Palmieri (King Street office) was the absolute best I've ever had. Dr. Palmieri is friendly, fast, and is an obvious professional in every way. Highly recommended!

My first root canal. And it went great. Dr. Palmieri explained what he was doing, it was a painless and relatively quick procedure, and he called later that night to check up on me. Highly recommend him.

My review pertains to Dr. Palmieri's office in Alexandria (he maintains two offices). The service in that office was horrific. I showed up early for my first appointment which was scheduled for 1:45 only to find the door locked and a note on the door stating "closed for office meeting until 1:50". I still in the hallway with a broken foot (there were no chairs outside his office) until almost 2:00. When I was finally let in, I waited inside still while staff remained in the break room, no one assisting me. I started speaking with another patient who was also waiting. He relayed to me his horror stories with Palmieri's office: having his appointment changed on him 3 times, having to return for additional root canals, and discovering the price was far expensive than any other area endodontist. When the staff finally led me in back & put me in a chair, they informed me they do not take my insurance. However, when I first called for the appointment they told me they DID accept my insurance. I started to leave when they said they could still do the root canal, if I was in pain, but I would "not be able to maximize my benefits". I was utterly disgusted and left.
