When contacting Dr richard had problem he always made time to see me and always return my calls.

He was very aggressive with his touch, did not fully complete the treatment.

About Hygienist: I found this dentist to be very judgmental, very rude, unprofessional, handled my insurance card with his gloves on then tried to proceed. Never see this guy again.!

My twin boys went to see Dr Mikaelian and they and I were completely satisfied.
He was very accommodating in scheduling after their school hours and once agreed to see one of them way after hours. And it was snow storm in NY that day.
Boys like him as well, joking about the speed of him talking but when it comes to treatment, he is all consummate professional.

The only reason why I still show up at this dentist's office at times is because he is the only dentist in my neighborhood who does not have a 2 week wait to get an appointment... He is by far the worst dentist I have seen in nyc. His office is run by him only, meaning he is the main dentist, the assistant, the person who picks up the phone and any other position. The wait time is horrible, and he doesn't really take his times with patients, just wants to do the easiest and fastest work he can and send you home. Do not recommend..

Went to see this dentist for the first time today. I'm the Delta HMO plan, and have never felt the effects of being an HMO patient as strongly as I did with him. First of all, he was late (the appointment was for 10:30 a.m. and he arrived around 10:45 a.m.), then he gave me a quick cleaning which mostly consisted of him flossing my teeth, and barely consisted of any actual dental tools. He looked at his watch the whole time, and took phone calls while I was there.
He was nice, and answered all of the questions I felt compelled to ask since he didn't seem very concerned about my teeth in general. Unfortunately, the answers were things like "This is the first time I'm seeing your teeth, it's hard to tell if it's a cavity or not."
I felt like he was rushed and only willing to get me lip service, when I was asking for teeth service.
I do not plan on returning.
About Hygienist: There is none. He also doesn't have a receptionist, which I wouldn't mind except that the woman who worked for the other dentists in the office was very rude when she informed me of that.
