Dr. Lash did a root canal on a molar approximately 7 years ago. I have since moved to another city. Recently, the same molar bagan hurting and I was advised by my dentist to see an endodontist . The endodontist in my new home city found that the roots were not completely removed. Two roots remain. I will have to have a second root canal and a new crown put on the tooth at great expense and with considerable discomfort. Dr. Lash never told me that he did not remove the root completely. Both my dentists and my new endodontist said that he should have explained this to me and that either the canal was "tortuous" and hard to get into or there was a lack of skill. The new endodontist does not expect to have any problem getting into the bottom of the root canal so I conclude the problem was the latter.
