Most terrible experience of my life!!! I too was told that they don't do cleanings on your first visit...naturally not until i was there. They did x-rays and told me I needed 3 crowns (I am a SEVERE grinder). When going in to get two of the three crowns done, I requested Nitrous he said no, it had been years since he had used the tank in the corner of the office. When I asked him to stop due to pain he wouldn't (last I checked, this is the definition of a battery). When I physically reached for his hand to make him stop (my roots were still intact, no root canal was done so I could feel EVERYTHING), he huffed and puffed at me, tossed his drill down and reluctantly gave me more Novocain. After waiting a few minutes he came back and wanted to rush back into my mouth. I had to stop him and tell him to stop rushing, and to treat me like a human being. I know when I feel pain. In any event, I had 2 crowns done, side by side. He used ONE temporary to cover 2 teeth. He was very rough, jerking my head around or pushing on my jaw. I constantly had to ask for a sucker straw or rinse to get chunks of teeth out of my mouth and there was dried blood on the side of my swollen face upon getting into my car.

About Hygienist: Upon finding a new dentist to do my third crown, I called his office and asked if they could EMAIL my electronic x-rays to me new dentist. I was told that they needed the request in writing, along with a 20 dollar payment for the fee. (I could see paying if they were printing on paper or giving me hard copies of my X-rays, but an e mail? C'mon!) I asked for a fax number and was told that they need payment with the request. I said that was fine and offered to give them my credit card. They said no, they don't accept payment over the phone. I asked what I should do if I work in the city, leaving Alexandria at 7am and arriving back at 630 pm. They said to mail it. I need it for my appointment with my new dentist this week. Basically, this office rushes you in and out of the office like cattle and is not willing to work with customers on anything such as payment (despite having primary health insurance and secondary high option dental, I still owed over 1200 out of pocket), or taking a credit card over the phone so you can have your records transferred elsewhere due to the terrible dentist that the office employs. Not to mention, they don't tell you that they don't do cleanings on the first visit until after you are there. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DENTIST.

I know this doctor: 1 month
