I underwent Orthodontic treatment with Dr. Won Moon and Dr. Matthew Macginnis, in Fullerton, CA. Drs. Moon and Macginnis came highly recommended by Dr. Vincent Medici (AKA, Vincent Saporito. Google his name for clues of why he changed it).
During treatment I had significant issues and concerns (e.g., titanium pin ("TAD") fracturing in my palate, toxicity & carcinogenicity of metals used in Orthodontics, TMJ issues, malocclusion, etc.) all of which were brought to the attention of Drs. Moon and Macginnis, and dismissed or diminished.
The problems caused by treatment (TMJ-related ringing in ears, misalignment, scar tissue, etc.) are unacceptable, and will require treatment elsewhere to rectify.
Due to significant travel expenses (I don't live in California), my poor experience, and losing complete faith in their ability to resolve the issues they created in the course of treatment, I discontinued treatment.
Their disclaimers state they're not responsible if anything they do turns out poorly. If you bring concerns to their attention they will minimize them, or otherwise spin it so they are not at fault. Is this who you want to entrust your health (not to mention, your money) with?
Seek treatment elsewhere!

I have been a patient of Dr. Moon's for over 20 years and have referred others. He is both kind and a conscientious professional with excellent detail and skill at the foundation of his creative, artistic and competent orthodontic care. When I first went to him he was in another office, where I had received what I thought was reasonable orthodontic care for over 2 years; however, my first encounter with his adjustment and vision resulted in a visible difference in the structure of my bite; my appearance; and my progress, and it was immediate. He has remained the most skilled, personable and professional orthodontist throughout the years that his many patents have grown with, and provides the absolute best, state of the art care and assessment all of us whom have continued to return have ever experienced. I highly recommend him.

He doesn't care his patients, office staffs are lazy & unprofessional, no service mind.
I don't recommend Dr. Moon to others.

I paid upfront for treatment (braces for adult). After some time, without notice, he decided to charge additionally for every visit. To discuss a billig question, you must make an appointment and pay $50.00!!!! He did a poor job and broke my retainer and decided I had to come up with $250.00 for a replacement. His reception desk staff is unprofessional and show little respect for patrons. Just walk in to meet a pack of poorly mannered teens slauching in their chairs, chewing gum and that will jerk you around when you look for assistance. Believe me. This practice worked fairly good until the other doctor left, perhaps becuase he could not stand Dr Moon any longer.

If your looking for a guy that follows through after the fact go somewhere else. This guy won't even talk to you. He is great at taking your money. Will never return a phone call. If you want to talk to him you must make an appointment, and he charges you $50.00 just to talk to him about the work you have allready paid $4500 for. Very arigant person in my book. I would not recomend this guy to any one I know. Put braces on my daughter and her teeth are still on the move years later wears a retainer every day. Dr Moon will not even talk about it. again a #$@ in my opinion Paid him cash up front will never do that again.

told me that i would only need braces 2 years, he had me in them 4 years , and never corrected my problem, fixtures were always coming off , bands ,brackest, i pay high and i get antique braces , he will not refund my money so i can get help somewhere else, i am so upset and he will try and shuffle you off to his partner dr. bacar. i wouldnt recommend.

I met Dr. Moon about 2 years ago when I was looking for an orthodontist. My general dentist had recommended some orthodontist for me, but none of them I like. So I decided to look for one myself. Then I met Dr. Moon.
First of all, mine is a very difficult case. I have had braces before when I was 13. But that wasn't good. Dr Moon is very very knowledgeable. He knows what he's doing, and he always put customers satisfaction first. I have been seen him for two years now (probably one more year before my braces off). Everyone I know tell me that I got a big improvement in my smile.
Second, he's a super nice person. He won't ask me to remove a teeth to make his job easier --- that's what I like most.
Third, I guess he's a professor in UCLA, coz I saw the same name in UCLA dental school.. not sure about this tho.

I am an adult patient who went to Dr. Moon for a second go around with braces (I never wore my retainer after the first time). The office staff made me feel very comfortable as an adult. They explained the treatment plan to me and the costs and financing options very well.
Throughout my treatment, appointments were easy to schedule and they were very organized. I never had to wait too long to see the doctor.
The office facilities are amazing! First class. Very clean.
Dr. Moon also stays current with new treatment methods and implements them in his practice.
His staff are very friendly, experienced and skilled.
I would highly recommend Dr. Moon and his entire staff.
