Good communication from Doctor and Staff. I love coming back for my appointments (as weird as that sounds)! I tell everybody about St. Elmo.

Great job! I liked going there. Dr Crawford and Staff are awesome! I would recommend him to anyone who's looking for a great smile and someone who will take a good care of you.

I started receiving treatment under Dr. Crawford's father in the early 90's. After he died, I tried his son with very limited success. Although he has very good chairside manner, some practices are awful. I have waited up to 4 hours to be seen at the Benning Rd. office--even with an appointment! I've also had similar wait times at the Michigan Ave. office, though not as long (maybe 2 hours--again, with an appointment.) I recently had root canal work done (supposedly), but it took 4 visits/procedures and I still have pain. I do not believe the procedure was done properly and am pursuing other options. There also is questionable billing practices. I will not use Dr. Crawford's services anymore.

Dr. St. Elmo Crawford is a wonderful dentist with a preventative, painless approach to dentistry. His chairside manner is excellent, and his office is clean and staffed with a fine group of professionals. I have been a patient of Dr. Crawford's since the 80's, and I credit him for my outstanding oral health. I highly recommend Dr. Crawford and Associates.

I was a dental patient of Dr. St. Elmo Crawford, who has 2 offices in Washington, DC.
For many years when I would go to get a filling for my teeth, Dr. Crawford insisted on me having a root canal and other expensivie dental work. I would explain to Dr. Crawford that I could not afford extensive dental work and just needed him to fill the cavity. He would refuse and for many years I thought that dentists' no longer filled tooth cavities.
To my horror, I learned by a chance conversation with a stranger that dentist do indeed fill cavities. So for the last 15 or so years, my teeth have broken off and the holes have become larger and have caused much pain and suffering for me.
My last visit to Dr. St. Elmo Crawford was approx. 2 years ago when I politely asked if he could fill my cavities. He very rudely and harshly informed me that "you get a root canal or get them pulled out, that's your choice."
I have now come to find that Dr. Crawford is a rip-off, money hungry dentist who can make more money doing root canals while a good filling is much cheaper and lasts longer. He has ruined my dental health by denying me simple services. I do not recommend him.
